The Meticulous FIBC Manufacturing Process Behind Unmatched Quality

The Ultimate Guide to FIBC Manufacturing Process

Understanding the importance of a strong and reliable FIBC (Flexible Intermediate Bulk Container) is crucial. That’s why we take pride in our meticulous FIBC manufacturing process, ensuring every bag meets the highest quality standards.

In this blog, we’ll delve into the intricate steps involved in crafting our FIBC solutions.

  1. Raw Material Selection: The very first and most important step is to select the finest raw material. We primarily use virgin polypropylene (PP) resin, known for its exceptional strength, durability, and versatility. Additionally, manufacturers use specific additives to enhance UV resistance and optimize fabric performance.

  2. Precise Extrusion: The chosen resins and additives are fed into an extruder, a machine that melts and shapes them into flat tapes of varying widths and thicknesses. This critical stage determines the final strength and weight capacity of the FIBC. Our best-quality extruders ensure consistent tape formation, laying the groundwork for a robust fabric.

  3. Weaving process: The extruded tapes are meticulously wound onto bobbins and loaded onto high-speed weaving looms. Here, our skilled technicians oversee the intricate process of interweaving the tapes to create the core FIBC fabric. The weaving pattern significantly impacts the bag’s strength and handling characteristics. At Rishi FIBC, we offer a diverse range of weaving patterns to cater to specific load requirements.

  4. Optional Enhancements: Depending on the intended use, FIBC bags may undergo additional treatments to optimize performance.

Lamination: Laminating a thin layer of low-density polyethylene (LDPE) onto the fabric can enhance moisture resistance for products sensitive to moisture absorption.
UV Treatment: For applications involving extended outdoor exposure, manufacturers add UV stabilizers during extrusion or treat the fabric with a UV protective coating to prevent sun damage.

  5. Precise Cutting: Once the core fabric or treated material is produced, it’s fed into automated cutting machines. Here, computer-controlled precision ensures the fabric is accurately cut into the specific shapes required for the bag’s design, including panels for the body, top, and bottom.

  6. Expert Sewing: Highly skilled sewing specialists assemble the pre-cut fabric pieces using industrial sewing machines. Rishi FIBC prioritizes robust stitching techniques to create strong and secure seams, ensuring the bag can withstand significant loads during use.

  7. Rigorous Inspection: After sewing, each FIBC undergoes a thorough inspection by trained quality control personnel. This inspection involves meticulously checking for any imperfections in the material, stitching, or dimensions. Only flawless bags are approved for further processing.

  8. Load Testing: A critical step in ensuring safety and reliability is load testing. A random sample of FIBCs from each production batch is subjected to rigorous testing to verify their Safe Working Load (SWL) and ensure they meet the designated weight capacity.

  9. Final Touches and Dispatch: Following successful inspection and testing, the FIBC bags are printed with essential markings like the SWL, lot number, and other relevant information for identification and traceability. Finally, the bags are meticulously packed and dispatched to our valued customers.
