The Different Types of FIBC Bags – Rishi FIBC
The use of FIBC in today’s world has become very prominent for the storage and transportation of powder, flake or granulated goods. They are mostly manufactured from woven polypropylene (PP) fabric and the bags are cubic in shape. FIBC are also known as Jumbo bags and can be used to in the toughest of conditions. These Jumbo bags can be used shipping and handling of products from various industries including the food and pharmaceutical industries. These materials are powder, flake or granules.
As a result of the insulation, there is a collection of charge within the product during the filling and discharge time. This charge is then acquired by the walls of the Jumbo bag. Hence, if these Jumbo bags are not checked or designed properly then there are major chances this charge can cause a lot of damage to the environment or the people around.
Rishi FIBC Solutions are well aware about these risks and hence design the Jumbo bags which are risk free for that particular type of products. These Jumbo bags are differentiated into 4 types which are as below:
These are the most standard and common Jumbo bags in the industry which are used for the products with no static charges. These FIBC bags are manufactured by polypropylene woven fabrics that are stabilized against UV degradation. Each bulk bag can contain load capacities between 500kgs to 2000kgs with safety of 5:1 or 6:1 (5:1 is for Single use & 6:1 is for multiple use or for UN bags), depending on the bag design and size. Optional LDPE inner liner can be included to provide additional protection against moisture ingress.
Recommended:
- When shipping and handling of non flammable products
- When non flammable substances are present around the bag
Not recommended:
- Should never be used for flammable products.
Conductive FIBC constructed from electrically conductive fabric, designed to control electrostatic charges by grounding. A standard fabric used contains conductive threads or tape. These are anti static Jumbo bags and are manufactured with a special technique.
Recommended:
- For shipping and handling of dry flammable powders
- When non flammable substances are present around the bag
Not recommended:
- These should not be used when there are flammable materials present around the bag.
Type D FIBCs are made from antistatic and static dissipative fabrics designed to safely prevent the occurrence of incendiary sparks, brush discharges and propagating brush discharges without the need for a connection from the bulk bag to ground. Type D FIBCs can be used to safely package combustible products and to handle products in combustible and flammable environments.
Recommended:
- Used to safely transport flammable powders
- Used safely when flammable solvents or gases are present around the bag.
Not Recommended:
- DO NOT USE when the bag surface is contaminated or covered with conductive materials, such as water or grease.
Pharma Grade FIBC Bags are exclusively designed for pharmaceutical products so that the products are in very good condition and are free from unwanted contamination. Relevant authorities approve the raw materials and fabrics used in the production of Pharma Grade Bags. We ensure that metal detection and cleaning process is applied, to prevent the bags from dust, germs and pollutants. Individual inspection of the bags on the light table is always performed. We make sure that loose threads and tapes are prevented.
These bags and many other bags which require special properties are manufactured and supplied by Rishi FIBC Solutions. The bags are tailor made for the requirements of the clients and the products at Rishi FIBC Solutions.
